The new boarding house we have designed for Guildford Grammar School has been approved by the JDAP.
With 200 beds and plenty of student amenity, support facilities and staff accommodation, this is the first co-ed boarding complex in Perth.
The project is sited in environmentally sensitive wetlands and the campus is registered with the Heritage Council. The approval process required referrals to several stakeholders, including the Local Authority, the Swan River Trust, Main Roads, the Heritage Council and an independent Design Review Panel.
Although there are significant sensitivities associated with this project we have been granted Development Approval in a single submission, and without any onerous conditions.
Good design, sound research, accurate documentation and a collaborative team are the ingredients to expedited approvals.
