With Architecture Studio working with Geyer has prepared a site masterplan and concept design for the world’s largest green energy production facility in central Queensland. This major innovative infrastructure envisioned by Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) is the world’s largest hydrogen manufacturing facility and will position Queensland as a “renewable energy superpower”.

The first stage of the billion dollar project is a $115 million manufacturing facility in Aldoga, west of Gladstone, which is expected to produce 2 gigawatts of hydrogen electrolysers each year, and double the world’s green hydrogen production capacity. The plant will be manufacturing green energy infrastructure and equipment — such as electrolysers, cabling and wind turbines — to create green hydrogen that will be exported across the world.
Mr Forrest said the facility would double the world’s green hydrogen production capacity, with the first stage expected to produce 2 gigawatts of hydrogen electrolysers each year.
